Though most people start with Suryanar Koil, it is actually Tirumangalakudi is the place where one's yatra has to start.
The temple has Shiva and Shakti as the main deity - PranaNadeshwarar and his consort Mangalambigai.
Any young unmarried woman visiting this place gets married with the blessings of Ambigai
